This particular Yorkshire holiday cottage is situated on the first floor of the historic stable block overlooking the parkland. The stable block’s beamed ceilings create style and space. An equestrian theme flows through the design of the contemporary interiors.

It really is the ultimate all-year-round cozy escape. Scroll through your Netflix account from the roomy L-shaped sofa, or from your sumptuous bed with its bespoke linen canopy. A true bolthole from the world, this cottage is very much a romantic retreat.

Tack refers to the horse’s bridles and saddles that were once stored here. Equestrian decorations are a nod to the building’s history.

You enter the Tack Room Cottage from the stable block’s first floor lobby. This is the ideal place to leave jackets and walking boots.

A private hot tub

The larch hot tub is an exclusive, complimentary treat for Tack Room Cottage guests. Situated in private woodland close by, on summer mornings you can take a cup of coffee to your bistro table and chairs. In the evenings, savour a sun downer drink on your own private hot tub decking.

Comfort and charm combined

Your en-suite bathroom includes both a bath and separate shower with underfloor heating for toasty toes all year-round.

There is parking next to this cottage. Bike storage is also available, as is complimentary superfast Wifi.

On your doorstep

The Yorkshire Dales are a beautiful place to relax. 25 acres of private ancient parkland are just a stroll down the drive. As you walk along the estate’s stream, keep an eye out for a flash of kingfisher blue.

Want something more energetic? There are some enchanting walks further along Lower Wensleydale, just a short drive away.

The stable block lies next to Patrick Brompton’s Hall one acre lawn. In the summertime, we encourage guests to watch the sun set from the lawn-side seating.

A secluded location

Your hot tub is set apart from the Dalesend Cottages in a secluded wooded area, overlooking paddocks. You are never far from the cottage, but have privacy to linger for as long as you’d like.

Always heated

The hot tub sits inside a covered tub house. This means you can enjoy it in all weathers at any time of the year. The water temperature remains constant at a comfortable 37 degrees centigrade / 100 degrees Fahrenheit. It’s kept warm and ready for you throughout your stay. Just climb in.

Hot tub tips

Cottage towels are supplied as part of your Tack Room booking. But you may wish to bring beach towels for the tub. Also don’t forget your robes, flip-flops or slippers to stay snug when you head back inside.

Terms

On your arrival day, you’ll be asked to sign the Hot Tub terms and conditions booking form. You will have read and agreed to this if you booked online. You’ll also have the chance to read this in person if you’re already staying with us.

We know our guests appreciate a clean tub. This means that occasionally, especially during high volume booking periods, we may need a while longer to prepare it for you. But we will let you know.
