Tack Room
A gorgeous couples Yorkshire holiday cottage
For a truly luxurious getaway, Tack Room Cottage has it all. On a winter’s evening, nothing beats watching the flames dance in the log-burning fire whilst relaxing on your canopied bed.
This particular Yorkshire holiday cottage is situated on the first floor of the historic stable block overlooking the parkland. The stable block’s beamed ceilings create style and space. An equestrian theme flows through the design of the contemporary interiors.
It really is the ultimate all-year-round cozy escape. Scroll through your Netflix account from the roomy L-shaped sofa, or from your sumptuous bed with its bespoke linen canopy. A true bolthole from the world, this cottage is very much a romantic retreat.
“Superb accommodation, clean, cozy and comfortable. Fabulous sofa, huge, and loved the log burner, and especially watching the fire die down as you drift off. Can’t wait to rebook.”
“The bed is so comfortable and I noted the make of the mattress! Tack Room is a rare find; lovely interiors – that sofa! and 7 nights of deep sleep.”
‘The cottage was cosy – biomass heating is unlimited here and in mid-winter we never felt cold after being out in the dales all day on our long walks. The pub in the village is a great help – on a couple of nights we were too tired to cook and popped over there for a tasty pub meal.
Tack refers to the horse’s bridles and saddles that were once stored here. Equestrian decorations are a nod to the building’s history.
You enter the Tack Room Cottage from the stable block’s first floor lobby. This is the ideal place to leave jackets and walking boots.
